The 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas offered many show-goers a chance to meet the 2013 SRT Viper for the first time - both in the form of the Viper GTS Launch Edition and a "base model" 2013 Viper modified by Mopar.

The 2013 SRT Viper GTS Launch Edition (shown above) was displayed in the Pirelli tire booth, celebrating the partnership between the SRT high performance brand and the well known tire company in developing the extreme performance tires found on the standard production 2013 Viper.  Only 150 copies of this special Viper GTS Launch Edition will be made and with those Vipers becoming instant collectables - these are cars that we aren't likely to see sitting in traffic.  This means that for many people, the 2012 SEMA Show offered the only chance to see the new special edition Viper GTS in the flesh.

The 2012 season for the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series came to an end this past weekend and in dominating fashion, Mopar teams claimed both of the branded drag racing classes (as opposed to the Top Fuel class which doesn't have Dodge, Toyota, Ford, etc).

In the Pro Stock category, Allen Johnson claimed the 2012 championship in the best way possible - by winning the final event of the season against fellow Mopar racer  Vincent Nobile to concrete his already-solid lead in the championship points.  Johnson ended up winning the 2012 Pro Stock category by 185 points over GM driver Jason Line.  Other Mopar drivers in the top 10 for Pro Stock standings include Vincent Nobile (3^rd), V. Gaines (7^th) and Jeg Coughlin Jr (9^th).  This marks Allen Johnson's first NHRA championship as well as the first for the new Dodge Avenger pro stock race car.

SEMA 2012 is over, but it's not a convention that we're likely to forget soon. There were so many amazing cars. So many amazing products. So many amazing-ly helpful brand ambassadors. Without them, SEMA would be a woefully uninformed, sweaty, sausage fest. I mean, how else would we know about Rohana wheels if it weren't for these two?

It only makes sense for us respect the ladies who make SEMA bearable. Without them, it would just be a convention of modified Mopars and man muscles. See the ladies who caught our attention after the link.
