2011 Ram Tradesman Overview

tradesman1.jpgThe 2011 Ram Tradesman is a trim package available on the Ram 1500 ST pickup truck. The Tradesman package is a value priced package which has been specifically designed for commercial and small business use.

The Tradesman’s sticker price is $22,780 (including a $975 shipping
charge). The 2011 Ram Tradesman is available in a 4×2 or 4×4
configuration.  Buyers can choose between a long (8 feet) or short
(6-foot, 4-inch) bed version, however the Tradesman is scheduled to be
constructed in only the Regular Cab variant. It will include a
five-year, 100,000-mile warranty.

Standard Equipment

Tradesman comes complete with cloth seats, air conditioning, a six
speaker media center that includes a CD deck and an interface for the
iPod, 12-volt auxiliary outlet powered by the 700 amp maintenance-free
battery, heavy duty coolers for both engine oil and transmission fluid,
17-inch steel wheels (with a model exclusive paint job), a Class IV
trailer hitch, auto headlights, cargo bed lamp, rear dome light, locking
tailgate, rear wheel-well liners, rack and pinion steering, and a tilt
steering wheel. It also features behind the seat storage, driver and
passenger assist handles, an instrument cluster that includes a
tachometer, variable/intermittent wipers and tinted glass.

Safety Features

Tradesman comes with an advanced airbag system, additional side airbags
and curtain airbags, anti-lock braking system on all four wheels, front
and rear disk brakes, tire-pressure monitoring system, Electronic
Stability Control, multi-link coil spring suspension, heavy duty shock
absorbers, front and rear stabilizer bars, Sentry Key Theft-deterrent
system and height adjustable shoulder belts for front seats. The
Tradesman also offers optional Goodyear Wrangler all-terrain tires that
are puncture resistant, and provides improved off road handling.



Ram Tradesman includes a 5.7 liter V8 engine that burns gasoline. It is
capable of delivering 407 ft-lbs. of torque, and 390 horsepower. It
also comes with an automatic five-speed transmission, and gets nearly 20
miles per gallon highway. The Ram’s towing capacity is 10,450 pounds,
and comes with 4- and 7-pin trailer connectors.

complements the various and optional external paint colors. The colors
offered are metallic bright silver, metallic gray mineral, brilliant
black crystal pearl, bright white, deep-cherry-red crystal pearl, flame
red, deep water blue pearl, hunter green pearl, brown pearl and metallic
white gold. Other optional equipment includes 3.21 and 3.92 rear-axle
ratios, chrome exhaust tip, anti-spin differential, chrome front and
rear bumpers, power door locks and windows, remote keyless entry,
folding trailer-tow mirrors (with supplemental signals and courtesy
lights), chrome side-steps/bed-rails, rear sliding window, Uconnect
Voice Command system with Bluetooth technology, spray-in bed liner, tow
hooks, rubber floor mats, Sirius Satellite Radio, automatically dimming
rear view mirror, cruise control, remote USB port and vehicle
information center with trailer brake controller.

The 2011 Ram
Tradesman is a workhorse truck with many options. This vehicle is sure
to make an impression, whether towing and hauling or driving to a
business meeting. With Ram’s proven track record, and low cost of
ownership, the Tradesman would make a nice addition to any business, or
any garage for that matter.
