We realize that oohing and aahing over a vehicle that’s mostly illegal to drive doesn’t help anyone much, but when Mopar gets to go crazy on a car, we can’t help ourselves. Blame it on Fiat, blame it on the economy, but when Mopar finally got let loose to make a special edition of a BIG AMERICAN CAR, it went a little…nuts.

Debuting in Detroit were two of the three stage kits for factory-tuned performance that will ultimately make up the Redline options. Stage One is mostly cosmetic – a carbon fiber front splitter, Mopar Black Envy wheels, carbon fiber door scoops, and a spoiler give it a more aggressive edge. State Two offers suspension bolstering, a cat-back exhaust, increased structural stability in the front, and bigger, tougher brakes. Stage Three will come with the new high-output version of the Gen III 426 HEMI V-8 crate engine for racing and off-road use.
