An Old Durango Is Even Tougher Than You Think
Tuff Truck racing is probably my new favorite thing. I’ve always hoped that racing like this existed, and thankfully, it does. Sadly, I’ve been distracted by hours upon hours of videos on YouTube featuring old 4x4s having the snot beat out of them, otherwise you would have been reading this yesterday.
The concept is simple: take an old truck on a course that looks more like it’s been made for a dirt-bike race. You can go slow and steady, or you can floor it and create all sorts of theatrics to entertain the crowd. Happily, the driver of this Dodge Durango chose that second option. It also proves that an average, everyday drive for a Durango is pretty easy living.
Behind the wheel is Marty Hansen, a man who has an entertainingly low opinion of his brake pedal. In this run, it looks like he never even goes near it, which showcases just how tough an old Durango really is. But enough of my talking. Watch this guy do things that you will surely put on your bucket list.
