The Chrysler Group posted two pictures online today, teasing the 2015 Dodge Challenger and the 2015 Dodge Charger that will officially make their grand debut next week on the second day of the 2014 North American International Auto Show.
As you can see, the only look we have at the next generation Challenger right now is the slick vintage-style gauge cluster that contains the modern Scat Pack logo in the middle – likely on an information screen. The Chrysler Group hasn’t offered any information on the 2015 Dodge Challenger other than the fact that it will be all new inside and out and that the introduction of the 2015 Challenger will include a new powertrain lineup. Of course, I would guess that means the introduction of the 600+ horsepower supercharged Hellcat Hemi in the next generation SRT Challenger.
In addition to the all new 2015 Dodge Challenger, the Chrysler Group will roll out the 2015 Dodge Charger with an entirely new exterior design…although there is no mention of drivetrain changes for the brawny sport sedan. As you can see in the image below, the 2015 Charger will have a front end design that is distinctly unique from the Charger sedans that have been on sale since 2006. The crosshair grille is preserved, but the headlights are clearly very different and it appears as though the grille may have more of a downward flow in the middle than the current Chargers.
Honestly, I have a hard time picture this new front end on the 2015 Charger based on the lines of the current models so I am led to believe that this revised Charger will be very different from current models…which is a shock considering how great the 2014 Charger look with its angry front end.
Both of these cars will debut on April 17th so come next Thursday, we will have our first look at the next generation of the Dodge performance cars.
