The biggest change for the 2014 Dodge Challenger is the new Shaker package which features a collection and aesthetic upgrades and – of course- the awesome new Shaker hood. When Ma Mopar debuted the new Challenger Shaker at the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the bright Header Orange muscle car was also fitted with the new Mopar electronic cutout exhaust system that allows the engine sounds to avoid the mufflers and exit with a serious roar through a set of pipes that exit out the side of the car.
The video below shows the 2014 Dodge Challenger Shaker at the SEMA Show with the engine running and an unknown person (like a rep from Mopar) sitting in the driver’s seat and revving the engine with the exhaust opened up. Not surprisingly, the free flowing Mopar exhaust on the Challenger Shaker allows the 5.7L Hemi to announce itself with a hearty roar – making me hope that Mopar eventually offers some sort of cutout package for my Hemi Ram…and maybe my 72 Demon.
In the meantime, check out the video below that shows the new Challenger Shaker revving and while it should go without saying – make sure that you have the sound on your speakers cranked up so that you can hear this modern Mopar muscle car purr.
