Pokémon-Chasing Driver Crashes Into Dodge Police Car

Unless you live under a rock, you probably already heard about Pokémon Go and the mayhem it’s causing everywhere with its GPS-based augmented reality features. If you haven’t, go download it for yourself and check it out. But be careful.

Numerous reports of people running into things while out walking around, or should I say “hunting Pokémon,” have been reported, such as falling into holes, walking into traffic, and even getting mugged by walking into a shady neighborhood. Yet, none have likely been as embarrassing (or costly) as this.

As you can see in the video below, a police officer’s body cam happens to be recording as a handful of officers chat at a street corner on a summer night. All of the sudden, “Mr. Gotta Catch Them All” comes out of nowhere in his Toyota RAV4 and smashes into the rear/side of the officer’s Dodge Charger cop car. Thankfully, the initial hit turns into more of a swipe than a crash, as the Toyota keeps driving for a few feet before completely stopping.

The officers keep their cool and go to check on the driver who immediately admits the stupidity of “playing this dumb-ass game.”
