In case you didn’t know, the next generation of the Chrysler Group’s midsized sedan program was introduced with the debut of the 2015 Chrysler 200. Unveiled in both the sporty 200S form and the luxurious 200C trim, this new midsized luxury sedan comes with a whole new level of interior refinement, a sporty-yet-classy exterior design and a powerful all wheel drive V6 package that delivers 295 horsepower – all of which is built on an enlarged form of the Dart’s CUSW platform. Yum.
It is widely believed that the Dodge Avenger will not continue on which is supported by the fact that the 2015 200 is offered in a sporty trim and a more plush, luxurious trim. The 2015 Chrysler 200C (in black) has lots of chrome on the outside, lots of leather inside and tons of high tech goodies inside, outside and under the hood. The 2015 Chrysler 200S (in blue) has many of the same interior amenities but far less chrome on the outside – with the exception of the integrated dual exhaust tips that are unique to the 200S. The S package also gets dark headlight and foglight bezels, plenty of gloss black trim rather than chrome and a sporty set of 18 inch wheels.
The 2015 Chrysler 200 comes with the 2.4 Tigershark four cylinder with front wheel drive and 184hp/173tq but the big story is the new 3.6L Pentastar V6. This refined V6 packs 295 horsepower and 262lb-ft of torque that is delivered to all four wheels via the same 9-speed automatic transmission as is offered in the new Jeep Cherokee so this car should be quick and efficient.
So that bit of information brings us to our question of the week – do you like the 2015 Chrysler 200?
