4. Over a century of quality – John and Horace Dodge built their first pickup truck in the early 1900s for Ford Motor Company. The Dodge name has been associated with great trucks ever since. The Dodge Brothers used their success with Ford to launch their own company and with that new company, they began making the trucks that would eventually become the Ram Brand pickups.  Toyota, on the other hand, has only been making trucks since the ’90s. And they’ve been playing catch-up ever since.
