Colors like Plum Crazy and Stryker Red aren’t cooked up by a stroke of luck. Automotive colors are created through a process that considers the vehicle, its purpose and the inspiration behind the color. It also examines outside influences like consumer products and color technology to design colors that are appropriate to each car or truck. Those colors are then measured in the context of the actual vehicle to make certain that interior colors, trim and wheel packages look well-matched.
In this video Jim Parker, Head of Exterior Color at SRT, discusses the entire process in greater detail and provides some insight into each car’s core colors. Enjoy!
