Strange Accident Leaves Man’s Head Pinned at Drive-Through

This isn’t the sort of news we usually cover here at Dodge Forum, but it seems worthwhile since it can be taken as a safety lesson. A McDonald’s in Tooele, Utah is the setting where this incident played out. The driver had been paying for food at the drive-up window when a gust of wind blew the money out of his hand. The young driver opened the door to pick up the money, but somehow his foot slipped off the brake and on to the gas, pinning his head between the car and the building.

Luckily the video below is not really graphic in any way. It simply catches the actions of first-responders as they try to access the inside of the car by braking the window. They then try and free the man, who was unconscious at this point, by moving the car carefully rearward.

According to the report from CarScoops, the condition of the driver has improved from critical to stable.

Perhaps this can be a lesson for others to avoid the same misfortune. This just reminds me of all the times I’ve seen people going through the drive-through with a broken window motor. Be careful out there folks, no hamburger is worth it.
