While remote start is offered on new Ram pickups, it isnt standard and that means that a great many 4th generation Dodge Ram (or just Ram) pickups don’t come with this handy feature. Whether you are trying to warm your truck up on a winter’s morning or you are trying to cool down the cabin on a hot summer’s day, remote start is easily one of the most convenient features in the modern age of the automobile.
Fortunately, you don’t have to rely on the factory option to have your Ram start itself from a distance. You can always turn to one of the many shops around the country that offer remote starter installs, but that requires you to leave your truck at some questionable stereo shop where a high school dropout will cut up some wiring with the expectations of your Ram starting at the push of a remote button. The safer option is to install a remote starting program yourself and we have an incredible DIY thread here on DodgeForum.
