This week’s Tire Shredding Tuesday clip takes a look at a 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T somewhere in Holland doing a big, smokey burnout. This black and silver Mopar muscle car is powered by one of the big block V8s of the 1971 R/T package and that allows it to very easily destroy the rear tires. After this Challenger sits in one place and smolders the tires for a good 25 seconds, the driver lets off the brake and the big block powered beast roars off into the distance.
I love watching old school Mopars do burnouts and I love the 1971 Dodge Challenger (which was the inspiration for the new 2015 Dodge Challenger redesign) so this video is a great piece in my opinion. After all, you know that a burnout is awesome when it is heavy enough to get smoke floating out in the front of the headlights and the early evening setting adds to the coolness of this clip. Of course, this Challenger R/T sounds just as great as the burnout looks so make sure to crank up your speakers and enjoy!
