A great many of the videos featured here on the DodgeForum.com front page should probably not be tried at home but this week’s Tire Shredding Tuesday clip featuring a pair of 2nd gen Dodge Ram 1500 pickups doing a head to head burnout deserves the disclaimer – do not try this at home. While nothing bad comes of the dueling burnouts, there is an obviously high level of an accident were one of the trucks to lurch forward. At the same time, it is pretty cool to see two 2g Rams sitting head to head as they obliterate all four of their rear tires.
On the right side, we have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 with a K&N intake, Magnaflow exhaust and some other unspecified “goodies” while on the left side the 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 has just Dynoflow exhaust. We don’t know what engines are in these Ram trucks, but Im sure that they are both Mopar V8s from the growl of these mills during the long, smokey burnouts.
As you watch the video of the dueling Dodge Ram burnouts, take special note of the fact that the white Ram on the left does inch forward a bit, right around the 43 second mark in the video. Fortunately, it doesn’t move very far and this video goes on for a total of 58 tire shredding seconds. Crank up your speakers and enjoy!
