DIY Sub install with pics...
If anyone is looking to install an amp and sub into a QC with the Infinity maybe this will help:
1) I removed the drivers side rear seat and cut a hole in the insulation large enough to accommodate the amplifier. Then sand the metal to prepare for the epoxy.
2) I used a 3/8 thick piece of plywood to make a mount for the amp.
3) I used pseudo pem nuts to attach my amp because the wood was too thin for a wood screw to get a good bite. I didn't want to use thicker wood because i was concerned about the amp hitting the seat.
4) Expoy holds the wood to the back of the cab.
5) Attach the amp.
6) To get a good signal the ONLY place you can tap into is the front door speakers, if you have the Infinity. Fairly easy though, the connector is under the dash, by the parking brake.
7) Run your cables under the carpet, and your done!
What do you think?
