Ya, i was worried about air flow but since I was using only half the amp (4 channel available, am using 2 channels bridged) and I have greater thanthe rule of thumb 1" for convection, I think i'm ok. The amp is rated for 175 watts bridged and that is a little more than the sub (JL 8W3V3) is rated for so the gain is set to about 1/3. I've used the setup for about an hour, although at lower volumes, without problems. The only time I really turn it up is when I am cruising down the highway with the windows open and with the windows down the airflow through the cab is plentiful.
