Default Ever locked your keys in your truck???

I did tonight, and what is most odd, is my drivers door will not lock with pd locks or when you manualy push the **** down when key is in the ignition. ( 06 2500 ram SLT )

My truck was running as I gave a boast to sick tempo, and than I can't get into my truck, glad I had a srw on the truck and topper and a long handel broom to hit the pd lock button ...

So you were able to lock yourself out with the motor running? Damn, that sux. I'll have to experiment with mine. I didn't think you could do that.

Last time I locked my keys in was in a about '03 and luckily I had an '02 Chevy Avalanche at the time. Onstar had it unlocked in about a 45 seconds after I called them.
Although, just to see if it works, I tried the "cell phone/key fob" trick witha Dodge and it works...

Here is an inexpensive trick. Tape a spare key under the truck.

people claim that you can call who ever has your other keyless fob on a cell phone and they press the button the cell phone will transmit the signal over the cell signal and will unlock the auto.

I have never seen it work.

It works, I can attest to it. We were out drinking inthe bar oneevening after a round of golfand the topic came up and I said something about how cool the Onstar I had with my Chevy truck was. Dude brought up the cell phone deal. I didn't buy it, so he locked his Durango and handed me his keys, called his wife and held the cell phone up about 3 feet away from the car with the speaker phone on and click, the SOB unlocked. Cost me a $10 bet...

Keyless fobs work on radio freqs. Cell phones transmit audible signals, not radio frequencies.

I think you got scammed. He probaly had another fob is his pocket.

I carry a spare key minus the platic covering in my wallet.

I've locked my keys in my truck only once. Along with my wallet that contained my spare key in case I locked my keys in the truck. It is a story that my fiancee will not let me soon forget.
