Hi all new member here and have a question to ask. I have a 07 1500 4 by 4 slt and I just ordered a 08 2500 4 by 4 sxt for work. I looked online and I can't see what the difference is.

the sxt is going to have some plastic on the bumpers...kinda making it look cheaper. the slt is chrome bumpers. i cant find much else for ya

 

i believe on the 1500 a big difference is i think the sxt has the v6

 

nah sxt comes with 4.7 there are two st packages a and b st b is what is known as the sxt. some chrome stuff but mostly plastic some power options are different usually no power windows or seats and lots of the wood/silver trim on the inside is not there just plastic. SLT has all of those features.

 

No the sxt has a hemi and power doors and windows on the quad cab. I am putting a 8' knapheide utility box on it and it also has the enhanced seating package in it.
It comes with a cd player and I really do not see any difference in the trucks.

well since ur adding the power seats and it's a 2500 no there really isn't a difference other than plastic where other trim is added.

 

Mabye..... Get the window sticker off the SXT and find someone who has the SLT Window sticker... and just compare the 2.... that should work to find the differences....

 

The difference is the rims, no folding out tray under rear seat, no evic, no fog lamps, crappy seat, and the decals that is what is different.

 

I'd say you're right except for the seat. I didn't see a difference between my truck's (2008 QCSB SXT) seats and the SLT that I test drove. I also added the TRX4 off road package and that gave me the fog lights, 17" alum rims and a few other odds and ends.

 

It's complicated, especially when comparing a 1500 to a 2500. For example, per edmunds.com, the SLT 1500 comes standard with the 4.7L V8, while the ST 2500 comes standard with the Hemi (as opposed to the 3.7L V6 that comes on the ST 1500). SXT is an option package offered with an ST (which you probably already know). So it can be a little unclear at first glance as to whether a particular difference between the two trucks in question is due toSLT vs SXT or 1500 vs 2500.
