you want good air flow right ? take your air cleaner right off!!, will you "feel"a difference in performance?" NO ", only the dyno will show it , so why waste your money? not being a dick, its just my opinion. its all just sales tricks. the only advantage i see to performance air cleaners is good looks

What you said is somewhat true. On a stock engine your not going to notice much performance. people say they feel aHP increase (i've said it myself already before I started hanging around/talking with engine builders and such) when they put a CAI on theyre vehicle. your not going to feel the maybe 10 hp you gain from it, the differance your feeling is the powerband being lowered a few hundred rpms (helps with passing and getting upto speed quicker)which is making you think you feel the "big" HP increase companys claim; but your really not. Now on a modified (headers, exhaust, cam, etc) engine you need the extra airflow that the CAI gives you, and in most cases guys will build there own CAI. Also something people dont know is how these company get the HP they are advertising, what they do (in most cases) is take a vehicle with the stock intake on it and runit to get the engine nice andhot then they will put it on a dyno and use that #; then they get there CAI or drop in filter and put it on the vehicle and let it sit overnight so the engine cools down completely. The next day they put a cold engine on the dyno and use that #. A cool engine will make more power than a hot one will, which is why you see the BIG power increase they advertise; dont get me wrong there is added power but its not the 15-20-or even 25 HP they say they gain.
