Default propane conversion

Hi guys, need a little bit of help here.

Has anybody done a propane gas conversion on your truck?

I'm looking into having one done to my truck, propane is much cheaper than gasoline, about 30% or more cheaper, the conversion runs for about 550dlls including the tank (about 48 gal capacity) and installation, I would say it will pay for it self in about 6 months.

Any input would be welcomed!

thanks...

If you don't mind it exploding on you when its bounced around the wrong way one day, sure, why not. And not because its flammable, but because its under high pressure.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't propane have to be kept under high pressure?

They are very safe. Farmers and Ranchers in my area have been using them in their farm trucks for years (I remember them when I was a kid). They bounce around in pastures all day long. These systems are well designed, and have been around a long time.

My apologies then.

Still... I don't think I'd ever do it.

The system is safe, I have heard from fellow buddies of mine that have used it in the past for several years running and they still have it. they have never had a issue with it, also the tank is bolted onto the bed, sop any bouncing aorung is the same as what's in our gasoline tank.

Anyway, thanks for your concern man, all opinions are welcomed.

So has anybody had it done?

what would be the gains, propane around here is expensive, like 14bucks for the 20lb for the grill, surely it wouldn't be any cheaper then gasoline. Maybe I'm wrong.

Just remember if something sounds to good to be true, chances are that it is

are we talking propane here, or CNG? I'm confused.
