Default 03' Grand Caravan - Front End Clicking Sound?

Hello,

Great Site!

I have a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan SE.

Let me descibe my issue;

With the vehicle parked (Shut Off), if I stand in front of the Van and push the vehicle back and forth (Swaying Motion), like a rocking motion. A Clicking Sound is heard from behind "Both" front wheels. The sound is decribed as a loud double-click.
Also while initially backing up or pullong out, the sound is also heard. Not so much once I am driving, and not so much when I turn. Only while parked and swaying the vehicle and initially moving the vehicle.

Not sure if its the Axle or CV Joints or what????

Any help would be great.

I am also looking for the Repair Manual so I can try to resolve this issue myself.

Thanks guys!

Your the best!

I going to say that the CV joints are worn. How many miles on the van?

Also I recommend that you don't sway the van while the park mechanism is engaged. Damage waiting to happen.

50,000 miles...

I only swayed the van to look for the noise, i don't make it a habit

Thanks for your reply.

Is there any advise or instructions on removing the CV joints?

Is it common that "both" CV Joints go out at the same time? Left and Right?

It could be cv joints or even be loose axle nuts. You may want to have the front end ck'ed out.

Thanks...

I will get the front end looked at...

In the mean time I am trying to find a Repair Guide for my vehicle, or something that guides me on fixing CV Joints or axle...

Do u know of any?

thanks again
