Engine codes P0401, P0403
I have a 2001 Grand Caravan 3.8L with engine codes P0401 EGR insufficient flow and P0403 EGR Circuit. I have replaced the the EGR valve and installed a new plug (pin connector) at the Egr valve. The pin connector has just over 14 VDC on it. The car has been driven over 300 miles and has not cleared. Could a Bad O2 sensor be my problem? Does anybody have any other suggestions? I have look through some of the other posts but none help. There appears to be no blockage.
Thanks

It can take quite some time and several drive cycles for a fault code to clear.
I would try taking it to a local parts store and see if they will clear the code for you.
Then see if the MIL light comes back on.
Yes an O2 sensor could complicate the issue for the EGR flow code but the circuit code is either a direct mechanical or wiring issue.

There has been quite a few drive cycles not just miles and the faults haven't cleared. The scanner is not even reading pending. Do you think there is one issue or two separate issues? I would have thought by replacing the Egr at least one of the codes
would have cleared. Is it possible that the issue is resolved but the faults have not cleared? If I get the faults cleared how long would it be before the faults reappear? Thanks for your past comment I appreciate any help.

I recently cleared the codes and they have not returned. The van was do for inspection so I waited a few drive cycles ( less than 16 cold starts about 60 miles) before taking it through inspection. From the start I was hoping that I fixed the problem when I change the EGR, but for some reason the codes did not clear on their own. Not knowing if enough start had passed since resetting the codes I took the van through inspection anyway and it passed. The EGR must have been the problem from the beginning and just did not clear. Thanks to everybody who gave me some input.
