I almost forgot about another great find I almost had, but once again it was a matter of not enough credit built yet for a bank to give me a loan for that amount on a car that old. It was sitting in the weeds at, of all things, a drivers training school. It was a GREAT find, a '70 Challenger R/T 440 4 spd. car. I stopped to check it out and the interior was fugly with very nonstock seat skins, the hood was chained shut, but I could see that the radiator was missing as well as the top half of the engine (I think it still had the heads on it though). It needed a little body work and paint as well as other things. I called up the school to find out if it were for sale and they said that it was, but the guy that works there that has it was not there just then, so I called back the next day. I talked to him the next day and it was his son's car and it was for sale (there were no For Sale signs on it BTW). He was asking $6,500 firm, but once again not enough credit built to get a loan for that much on a car that old being the collateral.[

][&o][sm=boohoo.gif] If I could have just been able to get he loans for that GTX and this R/T, I could have had it made with 3 of my all time dream cars. Oh well, I can dream can't I.[sm=smiley13.gif]
