Default Flat Load Floor

I just recently became an owner of used -08 RAM1500 and would like install the flat load floor on my truck. However, I do not have 64/40 split rear seats, which according to product description is required.

Has anyone done flat load floor installation on their truck without split seats?

According to installation instructions (Link: http://www.mopar-accessories.com/en-...r.ashx?id=1960 Sorry I was not able to attach the file due to its size) it should be do-able - with little bit creativity? At least there is a bolt hole (for the 18mm bolt) under the carpet (where the split seat bracket goes), but the 13mm bolt (referred as "c" in the instructions) is missing in my side brackets.

Any ideas?

Flat load floor bolts into the seat brackets in which the 60/40 is equipt. If you don't have those brackets, the floor may not be able to be secured properly.

Thank you for your comments so far.

Just wonder whether I could get those middle brackets somewhere and just cut the top off, as I do not have need for separate seat back support (as one would in 60/40 seating) - or I have to DYI those brackets (seem to be flat bottom "L-shape" anyway).

I am sure I will be using the flat floor quite bit, thus I am not going to give up on this easily

I didn't realize there was a difference in the rear seats. I wouldn't be surprised if the actual floor of the truck still has the "nuts" for the split seats in the appropriate places, perhaps plugged in some way. Look underneath where the split would be and see if there are some plugged threaded connections.

Yea, never realized they had a solid rear bench even for an option. My work pickup is an 03 without the flat floor but it is the 60/40

I have the flooring that you will need. I put in a set of 12" comp kickers and cant use them any more. I dont really need them as well. I like my sound system a little too much. I will get rid of them for cheap. dont really want them either.

hell i got the set out of my 4x4 and i got an extra set out of my 02 that i'm not using.....the 13MM nut just holds down the back of the bracket where the strut is for the floor.....not absolutly needed really....just the (2) 18MM bolts holding the bracket should be more then enough....

Thank you all for your comments.

I guess I got a "cheapo" option - as far as the rear seat is concern (e.g. solid rear seat). As I was buying my vehicle used, I was not able to select extras/options while shopping, but I got a truck that I like - just need to add few things to make it better suited for my use.

I've decided to acquire a load floor and "make it to fit" - I'll keep you all posted how that worked (in case there will be some one else in future wondering the same question).
