Default Front seat removal

Hey everybody. I was wondering if anyone has ever taken there front passenger seat out?

I have not idea how to get to the bolts on the right rear of the seat. They are buried under the tracks. Its a 98 2500 club cab. Thanks

I was looking at that the other day. My carpet had gotten wet and I was trying to take out the passenger seat so that I could lift up the carpet to see what was going on. I didn't have any problems with the bolts. The one that you are referring to in my truck is just a nut that you remove. The trouble I had was with the bolts holding the center seat to the passenger and driver seat. Anyway, I found that it would probably be easier to remove the entire front seat as an assembly (driver/passenger &center seat) rather than unbolting the seats individually. Like you said, it is a bear to get to the bolts. HTH

STANDARD CAB
(1) Move seat track to forward position.
(2) Hinge seat back forward.
(3) Remove nuts holding outboard and inboard tracks to floor.
(4) Move seat track to forward position.
(5) Remove bolt holding inboard seat track to bottom of center occupant seat.
(6) Remove bolts holding front of seat tracks to floor.
(7) Disengage power seat wire connector from body harness, if equipped
(8) Lift center occupant seat upward to clear rear attachment stud.
(9) Separate seat from vehicle.

The problem I'm having is I can't get to the 2 bolts that hold the track to the floor on the right rear of the passenger side front seat even with seat moved all the way forward.

Try sticking your hand & ratchet in from the side, under the seat frame.

Thanks. I figured it out. There are 2 sets of sliders on the passenger side I guess so more of the seat can go forward so passengers can get in and out of the back more easily.

The problem was the handle on the side of the seat was stripped so I had to manually release the tabs under the seat.
