I have a 1995 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.2 318. When trans goes into high gear my engine starts to miss really bad and some times it pops through the intake. I have done a tune up I replaced plugs, wires, rotor. distriberter cap and run dry gas in it. could some one help thanks

The problem may be that you have a 315 . Running it dry on gas is not good, but take the TB off and clean it and remove all the sensors and clean them too, check the plenum gasket, have the cat checked and check the fuel pressure. You might also try using some fuel system cleaner like Techron. By running it dry you may have sucked up some garbage and clogged some injectors. Do you have a check engine light issue when this happens?

And since you replaced the SP wires you might also want to look into this TSB http://dodgeram.info/tsb/1998/18-48-98/18-48-98-v8.htm

All I can say is try out the things I suggested. And what about the check engine light? Maybe you should go to Autozone or where ever and see if you have any stored codes.

Like I said, try what I stated in post #2. And here is how you can test the plenum, http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2000/09-05-00.htm

You should get yourself a Haynes manual too, you also have an egr valve on that 95, that the manual will tell you how to check.
