Unstable front suspension over bumps
Hey all, I have a 07 4.7 Durango limited. Love the car except for one problem.
At speed, whenever I go over a bump, say a RR crossing, the front end becomes briefly VERY unstable; it feel like the front tires actually become disconnected from the road. After a sec it settles down, but I gotta tell you, it is not a good feeling when control is lost.
My questions are these:
A) Have you noticed this as well, and
B) Any fixes for this?
My thought is to replace the front struts with a more agressive type, to keep the front tires planted.
Whaddya all think?
Thanks

I have an 07 Limited too and have the same issues since the truck was new. I believe, setting aside the dealer B.S. it has to do with the 20" low profile wheels which since you have a limited I assume you have. Not enough meat between the road and the rims. I had an 05 before this one and it had the 17" rims with goodyear wrangler tires, no hop over bumps. So if it really bothers you get a set of standard rims and tires, it will help the problem.
