RE: remove muffler and use resonator?
I think there was a post about this the other day. I have an '03 so I didn't have to worry about the resonator but I believe the suggestion was to have your local muffler shop remove the resonator and just weld regular piping back in its place. But if you're going to go this route, and you have the money, you might as well buy a cat-back exhaust and your problem is solved.

As far as sound, that would be loud as hell[sm=badbadbad.gif]. I have the 4.7 and my tips are my mufflers with my catback. Before i put the tips on I fired up the engine...loud as hell...cant imagine how that would sound on a hemi. i set off car alarms as it is. you'll probably get the same performance gains as you would spending $500 on a catback, so if you like it loud go for it. and if you dont like it, you only spent 25-30 bucks on a piece of pipe.

RE: remove muffler and use resonator?
Heard this today. I was told if you lose bottom end performance you need to disconect the neg. battery cable for a couple hours. The computer will forget everything, and when you conect the cable and start the computer will readjust itself to run properly with no backpressure. Has any one else hear this?
