Caltracs or Traction Bars... Which are better for our trucks?
So just curious but which are better to run on our trucks, Caltracs or Traction Bars? I know the general idea of how both of them work, and have read review after review on both of them and they are both getting about the same pros and cons for one over the other. The reason I ask is because I have heard from a few different people that as I start adding more power to the rear wheel (like with the new cam) the axel hop is going to get or can get really bad specially on hard launches.
So what is your take on them, is one noticably better than the other? Do they help/impair normal day to day driveablility or is it about the same?
Never put some on a ram, but a family member has an f350 on 38's and he put traction bars to reduce axle hop/wrap when he put his superchip in and because the lift, seemed to help out, but i dont really know if it would make a difference or not on ours.
lol, CalTracs and traction bars are the exact same thing. CalTrac is just the name of the traction bars that Calvert Racing produces. I was very close to getting a set off DT but the guy sold them to someone else after he said they were mine
