I had an Upper Control arm bushing replaced when in Mexico a couple years back. I remember they just jacked up the side of the vehicle from the lower arm, removed the bolts for the upper control arm and removed it. I was hoping they would use a hydraulic press to get the old bushing out, but out came the cold chisel and a hammer.
Cost 38 Dollars not including the bushing. I was quoted over $350 for the job in the states.
They also did an unasked for alignment after the bushing job. They did a better job using only their eyes and experience than the local garage with all the right tools. Now it pulls to the right after my computerized alignment.
