Cool Abs and Brake light on

I've got an '03 Dodge Cummins 2500, manual trans. The brake and Abs light stay on constantly. My speedo works properly, and brakes (including parking brake) preform great on the truck. Brake pads have plenty of pad on them. The truck does have a Bully Dog programmer. Has anyone heard of using the programmer to set new tire sizes can cause these lights to come on? Any ideas on how to turn these lights off?

You do not just want to turn them off. They are on for a reason.

ABS on solid means your ABS is currently inoperable.

Most ABS issues are usually the speed sensors. Basically each ABS wheel has a speed sensor. If the sensor sees your wheel not spinning, but your computer says you are moving the ABS kicks on. An issue can arise if the sensors malfunction, thinking your wheel is not spinning and therefore kicking on your ABS when in fact there is no need for it. Somehow the system can detect this kind of fault and will throw the light and kill the ABS until fixed. I could be wrong but I think it detects by knowing you are not braking, are moving, yet the speed sensor reports a stopped wheel....

Long winded, I know.... So here is a question.... Just prior to your light coming on did you notice your ABS kicking on under normal braking conditions?

Check all your fuses? Happened to me when towing. Trailer lights shorted and took out fuse. Replaced fuse and ABS back to normal.

My '06 did that when I accidentally started the truck with a fuse removed. It was either 30 or 31, can't remember which one. It's labeled as a spare but most definitely is not.

I believe you need a rear wheel speed sensor that is mounted on the top of the rear differential...

Finally made it to a computer to see what you guys thought.
1) Didnt notice ABS not working, will have to check that. Have yet to stomp the brakes hard enough for them to try to lock up.
2) Will check all fuses soon. Never thought about that being a possible cause, but now i could see how it might be.

Is it odd that both the Brake and ABS light is on? I've seen just a ABS light come on, when it has been an ABS problem.

My fuses 30 and 31 are both empty but labeled as spares. Going to fuses in them when i get to the shop and see if that helps.

Talking Update

Found a blown fuse, replaced it and the lights went out. I pull several different trailers, so one of them may have poped the fuse. Am going to keep close tabs on it now and see if i can figure out what blew the fuse. Thanks for the help guys.
