Changing the Idler pulley/belt tensioner
Im working on a 2000 Dodge Neon with a 2.0 Liter 16-Valve I-4. The problem lies in the idler pulley/belt tensioner, in which the bearing has grenaded and broke the belt. The only place I could find the part was through the dealership, whichhas already been purchased, and it seems that it is a bracket assembly/cover with the tensioner pressed in.
My question is, do I have to pull the motor to pull off the old cover or is there a trick or special tool to get the job done. I can get to all of the bolts except for theone on the bottom left corner by the motor mount. I was also looking at dropping the motor through the bottom.
My expertise is with toyota's and not so much with dodge's,I dont know all the tricks and so on.
Any thoughts, comments, or advise would be appreciated.
Thanks
