Default Radiator leaking

My radiator is leaking from the drivers side bottom. Thought is was the bottm hose but it is on passenger side. Do I need a new radiator?

well, it depends how bad the leak is. if its just seeping, then you might be able to get away with a sealer like barrs leak. but if its a gusher, then you will most likely need a rad.

Replace it. I don't recommend using any sealer. It will clog up the rest of the system eventually.

ou radiators have the plastic caps on the ends and can't be repaired like the old metal ones. if you want a cheap fix then you can try jb water weld. i've never used it but according to the package it should work pretty good. and don't use bars leaks.

for the love of God, don't use any coolant sealer or anything like that. it WILL screw things up, eventually. its just not a good idea and i would only suggest using it in an emergency(i.e. on the road and no way to fix it). just replace the radiator if thats where its leaking from.

I wouldn't suggest it even in an emergency, unless of course it was between cutting my leg off or bleeding to death.LOL

what do ya'll think of jb water weld? new radiators aren't cheap. i replaced mine a couple years ago because it was leaking where the metal meets the plastic on the lower front passenger side and if i could have stopped the leak by slapping some jb weld on it i would have. my leak was just a dribble though so pressure wouldn't have been an issue for me.

if you put some sort of epoxy on the outside that won't eventually eat away at whatever it is you're epoxying, then yea, go for it. but dont put anything IN your system.

i'm pretty sure the water weld will hold up to coolant. i know there are a lot of stories about people using plain old jb weld to seal up engine parts so i'd give that a try because its cheap.

You can find good deals on radiators on ebay. It would probably be cheaper in the long run to replace than try to bandaid fix it.
