Help Drive shaft support bearing
My support bearing the is under the pickup bed blew out today. It connects the two shafts into one. Does anyone know how to replace this?
Thanks

Take the drive shaft out. Once its out, most likely the center bearing won't just slide off so you may have to hammer the **** out of it. Maybe even use a little heat. I never changed one in a pickup but have done them in a big rig. I figure it should pretty much be the same concept.

Remove the rear shaft first. Then remove the front half including the carrier as one piece. take it a machine shop (unless you have the right tools) and have them remove and press a new bearing on.

I don't have one of those, but IIRC, it does look as though it slides on and off, but that is not the case and it does need to pressed or the use a a BFH. lol
