Hi All,

I need to get the wheel alignment checked/adjusted on my 1995 Ram Van 2500. However, I'm in the UK and the local garages won't have the specs for my van, so wondered if anyone knows of the correct caster, camber and toe specifications so I can let them know what to adjust to?!

The specs are not the same in the UK as they are here in the USA, due to you guys driving on the opposite side of the road from us.

 

Interesting, I've never heard of this before, do you know what the difference is? At the moment, any specs would be better than no specs as a Ram Van over here is a rarity!

It has to do with the crown (hump) in the road put there for rain water drainage. When driving on the right side of the road the vehicle is tilted slightly to the right and the natural tendency would be for the front end to drift downhill to the right. Alignment shops compensate for this. However, when driving on the left side of the road, the opposite condition applies. This is why the specs cannot be the same over there as they are over here.

However, I do not have the specs for a 95, but here are the ones I do have for a 2000, in case they end up being better than nothing.

Caster:
Range (+/- Deg.) 1.50
Preferred Settings (Deg.) +2.50

Camber:
Range (+/- Deg.) 0.60
Preferred Settings (Deg.) 0.0

Toe-in:
Range (in.) 0+/-0.25
