keeps on a melting...
OK, i have a 03 durango SLT plus, when i got the durango, it worked fine, then the resistor and plug melted together, i searched around a bit, foud this thread, replaced the resistor and the connector, lasted about a week, then melted again. went to the stealership, luckily had a friend who worked there, and he tested the blower motor, said it was pulling to much. so i shelled out the 120 bucks for a new motor, replaced resistor and connector again and thought, great, problem solved. then it turns out that motor was defective, and pulled to much amps as well, and they were nice, replaced the blower, and gave me a new pigtail and resistor and warrantied it out. and now the problem rises again. connector melted to resistor, and now i work freakin 70 hours a week, and as you can imaginge im sitting here in the middle of texas in the middle of summer, so i said screw it, and put an inline fuse between supply and the high setting, so it blows on high, but thats it. i cannot figure it out. so i turn to you humble dodge forum folks, what could it be?????
oh and i believe the part number for the pig tail connector for the resistor is 05017124AA worked last time
