Question tailgate cap to cover holes in tailgate?

Hello everyone. I just installed a used tonneau on my 06 with the tailgate spoiler on it. Since the tonneau will not close with the spoiler on, I removed it to find 4 holes in the tailgate. Anyone know of any brand of black plastic tailgate caps that are long enough to cover these holes? Thanks!

Have no idea, but do you want to get rid of the spoiler? If so, PM me, or email me at bryantloke@sbcglobal.net... thanks

I had the same problem when I got my Bed cap, it was even specced specifically for my model year (07), when I took the spoiler off the holesleft were horrid and the cap didn't come any blanks for the holes, so I modded the bed cap window so the spoiler could go back on.

Not sure if you'll find anything specific for these, I'd say you've got 4 choices:

1 Find something that fit the holes to blank them of by trial and error, but it will still look messy.

2 Go to the expense of having the holes filled in properly and the tailgate resprayed

3 See if the earlier tailgate without the spoiler will fit your truck and find a matching colour one from a breakers.

4 Have the tonneau cover modded and resprayed.

Unfortunately the tail gate caps aren't deep enough to cover the holes....

I didn't even know 06s came with tail gate spoilers. I thought it was an 07-08 option.

Anyway you can either get a vinyl to cover it, the tailgate cap (OEM), or have the holes filled and the gate repainted.

Here's pics of mine with the tonneau

GotHemi_44, thats the route i'm trying to go with, is find another vinyl cap that will cover the holes. What brand is yours? I'm assuming thats what you did with yours.

Well, If I can't find what i'm looking for, i'm going to have to cut it up to fit the tonneau cover over it, and bold it back on.
