Angry downshifting problem

hey peeps its been a while since iv been on. so i have an 03 model n when i go to down shift into second gear it doesnt seem to want to go in. sometimes i really have to pull on it or i have to slow down ALOT for it to go into gear. i recently changed the tranny fluid & it has helped a little but it still remains a problem. any ideas wat else it could be? thanx!

Sounds about right. 2-3 and 3-2 are notoriously bad in the SRT-4s. Have you tried rev matching to help? Blipping the throttle when going into second has helped me a lot.

im gonna start by telling you STAY AWAY FROM AAMCO
i was referred to them for the same problem on my srt 4.....well lets put it this way i rebuilt my whole tranny (fork, synchros, blocking rings etc) and put a atc clutch and flywheel....and 4 months later aamco says thats not the problem it is a "stretched shifter cable" well aamco let me leave free of charge but not willing to attempt the cable becasue i called corprate ans they where sick of throwing money at it without pay....so make sure everything from you shifter to your tranny is ok first so u can avoid my senerio....good luck
