Unhappy 01 durango tranmission overdrive shifting in and out constant

Hi, I need help badly!!
My 2001 Durand R/t 5.9 ;256 000 klms ..While driving at 45 mph and up even at 70 will shift from 3 rd to overdrive and back down to 3rd with the slightest touch of the gas pedal.if i take my foot off the gas to coast in 3rd it seems to decompress like something is holding it back then it it jumps to 4 th and rolls freely until i touch the gas peddal and down shifts and reves to about 3500 rpm at 60 70 mph,,it'll do it at 40 mph too..
doesn't matter up hill,on the flat or even more so if going up hill..
dealer didn't seem to know so i took it out of there paws and my local garage is not sure.. they had me change my intake manifold gasket already because the said there was oil in the base and they thought it could be a vacum problem..it didn't fix it truck ran better but not the trani..HELP PLEASE!!!!
Thanks guys I'm dieing here!!

Ck the fluid level first, Then ck the throttle cable adjustment and ck the PCM for any codes. When was the last time the transmission was service inc band adjustments? You could have a bad TPS sensor, But i would be just guessing without seeing the truck.

Change out the TPS. Also have them do a transmission fluid and filter change (ATF+4 ONLY!!!) and adjust the transmission bands on that 46RE trany.

I agree with the tps. If that doesn't fix it try a brake switch.

If the shifter cable is out of adjustment (too tight) it will produce these symptoms. It needs a little bit of slack so definitely look there first.
