Default How do you remove the headlight assembly?

I need to change a bulb and I can't get the headlight assembly off. I removed the 3 Torx bolts, but there appears to be a plastic piece inside the fender well that is holding it. Do I need a college degree?

Pull Hard...just be sure not to scratch your bumper when it pops off!

yes. college degree and pry bar.

just kinda slowly work it out. there isnt anything else holding it in, but be careful to not break anything. it'll take some muscle with finess

There is a round locating plastic piece and there is a square plastic piece as well. If it hasn't ever been taken off, the square piece has tabs on it. You can just pull it out, or if you're feeling squirrley you can pull the plastic inner fender well out and release the tabs if you don't feel like breaking them. Then the light assembly should just slide out with ease.

If you are talking about the bolt under the light, I use a 9 or 12" extension to get to it on mine
