Default ABS light and parking brake light on

it wass a good night, anyways i was fishtailing and drifting in a snowy parking lot, and while doing a dohnut, i was sliding backwards and i just tapped the brake. Now the abs light is on and the parking brake light is on, and i pulled the handbrake release, and the damn lights are still on. Any suggestions on what i did?

yeah i just had my lights on last week and i found out that the main cause was that i had a busted wheel cylinder in the back and had no brakes or fluid also it could be that ur stoplight swith could have gone bad and u need a new one aslo check your fluid level

Default ABS lights

Many possibilities. You will need a scanner than can read brake codes but it could be an ABS sensor. In my case I have a 98 with rear ABS only. The sensor is on the rear "pumpkin". It went. Can also affect your speedo.

Speedo still work fine? If you notice your speedo acting up its probably the rear speed sensor. Easy, $30 fix. But it wouldn't affect your tranny. That sounds kind of odd.

speedometer still seems to be acting just fine, tranny worked fine after i pulled over and revved it a couple of times, hard shifts though. Kind of a grinding sound when you put it into park. Damn ABS light and Parking brake light are still on, tommorow at school i`ll see it if can scan the computer, and see what the shop teacher says.

Can this just be dirt buildup on the abs sensor causing this? (my abs light on + speedo won't work until 25 mph or faster)

RESETTING LIGHTS on dash instrument panel

If staying on… ABS light, & brake light, and possibly engine light.

1. Disconnect negative battery terminal.
2. Put key in ignition and turn to on position, wait 30 seconds.
3. Step on the brake pedal and hold for another 30 seconds.
(This puts a current drain on the computer system to erase the memory.)
4. Release brake pedal.
5. Remove key from ignition.
4. Reconnect negative battery terminal.
5. Re-calibrate the ABS and speed sensors by driving the vehicle over 15 mph
for at least 10 seconds.
6. Park vehicle, turn off ignition, start vehicle, wait five seconds, go for a test
drive at various speeds.

Now the lights should be off and stay off.
* If the lights still remain on or only come on at certain speeds continue below.

1. Disconnect negative battery terminal.
2. From the top of the rear differential unplug harness.
3. Inspect wires for damage.
4. Inspect harness plug for corrosion.
5. Remove old speed sensor.
6. Put oil on o-ring of new sensor.
7 Put dielectric grease on harness connections.
8 Install new sensor.

9. Reattach harness.
NOW Repeat steps 2 through 6 above for RESETTING LIGHTS

If the lights still remain on then the front wheel ABS sensors may be bad.
Scan vehicle with an error code reader.
Refer to error code descriptions.
Before replacing expensive parts maybe have the dealership further diagnose
