Default the best aftermarket transmission

Hey guys what is the best aftermarket transmission for replacement of the 46RE. Or, would yall recomend rebuild. I think dodge has always had crap trannys, therefore I say aftermarket. But where to start? Also best torque converter.
Thanks

Around here (for the most part), there are 2 tranny builders/companies that you will hear about a lot. Those are. Dr. Evil's Evil series Trannys and PACT Viper series trannys. Both come with Torque Converters.
Here are the websites:

Feel free to chime in and correct me if I'm wrong fella's

Personally I wouldnt buy a Dr Evil trans. I dont like the thought of them having secrets about whats done to it.

With the PACT transmissions you basically can take it to what ever level you want.
Ive got the Ramzilla stg IV internals which is essentially a 46re case with 48re parts on steriods in it.

Nope. 47RE won't mount up to anything but a V10 or diesel.

Hey, guys thanks for all the feed back. Dont know what I will do, I really like the viper tranny, dont like the price. Have thoughts about rebuilding myself but dont have a place to really do it. Dont really see paying 1500 for someone to rebuild this one I would rather pay for the aftermarket. It seems that these trannys are only lasting us 140,000 miles maybe 150,000 on average that is crap. Mine has 104,000. Have thoughts about fixing and going GMC, but I dont know if I can say goodbye to Dodge. I am just so pissed about this.
