Alright, this is a "fun" one! 95 2.0L, 162K I just recently started hearing a loud squeak noise when turning right. Anyone know of any common problems for bushings in the steering system or might it be something else...?
The other problem I have is quite unique, at least I think it is. I'll be driving (it happens during idle or maintaining a certain RPM) and the gauges will all of a sudden drop to zero on everything and all the lights come on, as if you had turned the key on, but not started the car...here's the weird part though, the engine is still running but I have no throttle response. It's got me guessing pretty good, but it won't throw a code for me at all. If I turn the key back one position then on again, it comes back to life and acts as if nothing happened. I really don't get it! Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Well, loud squeak could a lot of things. Axle bearing, lower ball joint, rack n pinion or fan belt loose. The other problem could be an ignition switch.

Well, the car completely quit on me now, driving down the freeway and everything shut off. I noticed when I turn to key to the on position the check engine light doesn't light up and all the car will do when I try to start it is crank. I already replaced the ignition switch, but I may have a power issue. Could it be a relay of some kind, like maybe the ASD or something?
any help is much appreciated on this one!
Nope, no fuel pump , no spark and no CEL either (by that I mean it doesn't come on like it used to when the key is in the "on" position) I changed the ASD relay and the fuel pump relay to no avail...Computer maybe? Tried a new ignition switch and nothing changes...
If your getting no initial CEL pull the ECM harness and probe out the constant voltage wires to see that it is getting power. I literally JUST had this issue, and it led me to a new ECM.
