Car Died While driving. Wont start.
Hi guys ! Looking for maybe some suggestions on where to go with my problem.
98 Dodge Avenger. 2.0 4 cylinder
Driving home last night all of a sudden car died. Tried to crank it and no go. Finally got it home this morning. So it will crank but wont turn over. Tried using some starter fluid to get it to go but no luck. Went ahead and changed spark plugs and wires as i already had them. Still No luck. Gas was sitting at 1/4. have been having a rear main oil leak and recently had some overheating issues (fixed ). Did some read and research and thought about trying to replace the crankshaft sensor. Any leads or suggestions would be appreciated.

These Avengers don't have Dizzys or Rotors. They have DIS and a coil pack right on top of the engine.
Any oddball chance that your motor mounts are bad? Particularly the front one. I had this happen to mine, couldn't figure it out for a week. Finally spotted the bad motor mount up front, replaced it, and would ha know it she started right up. Must have been pulling on something.
Mine was also the 420A. 95, and I ran the absolute dogs hit out of it.
