I believe there is a main wire harness plug going through the firewall. Check it also.

And the main battery wires to the PDC.

But I agree, you should check the main plug on back of the IP.

yea, just pull the cluster out a little and the plug is back there. it would not hurt to put some dielectric grease on there too so you will be sure you have a good connection.

Hello...
I have a 95 dakota i bought to fix up. The instrument cluster was out when i got it...plugged in have lights NoGauges....they gave me the original cluster but same thing lights up but No Gauges.... They said... lol that when they went to install stero something shorted..... i am hoping its simple but its not fuses...Hoping someone has had similar issue...Any help is greatly appreciated...
