Well for me it did. Mine were rounded off too. They grabbed and loosened it up. The nut remover is made of a stronger material than the nut so it will dig into the nut. And hold. The teeth go smaller as it goes in so it will grip even if it was made completely round.

that happened to me but it was with a locking lug nut!!! they dont make bolt extractors big enough for those, so i had to break out the air chisel and it got them off fine, did not mess anything up either!

I agree with the air chisel if you have one available. I've done that before. Just hit the lug nuts at an angle so that the chisel digs into them and knocks them loose.
