I wish I could answer that. But I'm not to sure if it would. We do have a link for parts manuals. You could look up your stock number and a jeeps part number and see if they match. You could also do search on autozone.com or napaonline.com

http://www.4x4posi-lok.com/app_dodge.html I wonder if the kit #1100 would work?? I would much rather rely on a cable than a vacuum lines

Is it going to hurt to have the front axle "locked" when in 2wd.

If everything up front is stock. Then no it will not hurt it at all. The 93-up dakotas do not have the CAD system. So yours will be fine. But it may hurt gas mileage some. Because now it has to turn a few more parts. But as long as the transfer case is still in 2wd you will be fine. Just also make sure your CAD is not going to slip out of lock or else you may be stranded somewhere when you need 4wd and cant engage the front axle.

If you wanted you can try a 92 vacuum motor. It is the same axle so I would say it should work.

4338578 $81.31 Front drive axle - Drive axles - Front axle - Vacuum motor
VACUUM MOTOR, Dakota - 4WD,

You can get it at
https://www.dodgeparts.com/oe_parts_...e2cf8fa4e8846c

http://www.moparpartsamerica.com/par...?siteid=214583

Just do a search by part number.

I got the same response when I tried to order it online about 1 1/2 years ago. I also had the dealer tell me the same thing. About six months later I called a different dealer, and he was able to order one from Dodge. He told me that dodge doesn't stock them all the time, but they do order up a batch once in a while. So try your local dealer, they might be able to get you one, if not try a different dealer. BTW, the full size dodge trucks/ramchargers and the jeeps have different size vacuum motors.

Well Im glad I didnt order one for a jeep. I called my local dealer and he gave me a number to a dealer in Minnesota that showed they had it called them and the three that they had a 4wd shop bought em up. I didnt call the shop figuring I'd get a dead end. So last night I placed an order with www.dodgeparts.com and they called me back while I was at work concerling avaibility Im going to call them tomarrow to see what the deal is and if I can get the part thru them. I really couldnt see these vacuum motors to be discontinued on the number of trucks they were used on. They are charging anywhere from 80-120 bucks for one when i browsed the oem catologs of the mopar sites in faq2 using part number 4338578.
