Thanks 318. So far, what I think I need is the following: Crank position sensor, Ground the P/N switch, Driveshaft (Not sure, since its 2 wheel) 1" Flywheel bolts, Flywheel, Pilot bearing sleeve. Along with the obvious things (Clutch MC, pedal, other stuff..?)

I'm sure I'll have some questions. Thanks for the support!

You are mostly correct, but here is the current list...
Yes to getting a manual specific crankshaft position sensor

No to grounding the P/N switch. It will need to be grounded, but I would put it on a switch on your dashboard. If you perminently ground it, it will cause the cruise control to not work.

Yes to the flywheel bolts. Get the same thread pattern as the flex plate bolts, and I would suggest getting grade 8. Also, you'll need bolts to bolt the clutch pressure plate onto the flywheel.

Yes to the flywheel.

Yes to the pilot bearing sleeve. Make sure you have this before you start the project, because you can only get it from the dealership and they might have to order it (I got lucky and found 1 dealership nearby that had one in stock).

Driveshaft... the nv3500 is 7 inches shorter than the automatic, and I don't think the 2wd will be different. If I were you, I'd replace the center driveshaft section, before the support bearing, and leave the rear driveshaft as is. At least you only need to replace 1!!!

And as for the hydraulic assembly... do NOT take it apart!!!!! Install it as 1 peice because it is not designed to be bled, and bleeding it sucks.

Good luck!! Its a fun project as long as you plan ahead... something I did not do a good job of.

Ok, here goes:

1. My dak is the total base model. No cruise control. Still no to grounding the P/N switch?

2. Do you know off hand the pitch of the thread of all the bolts that I need?

3. The only catch with this transmission is that theres no clutch. The guy said it was fried. Not sure what i'm going to get with it, but I couldnt pass it up for 175 bones, delivered in my driveway.

4. 318, could you possibly give me an approximate price for a few things? I cant seem to find a good online fiche. The crank position sensor, Pilot bearing sleeve, and the 1 driveshaft.

Since I'm only 16 making minimum wage just clearing insurance and gas, this is definately a budget build.

Thanks again

Is this the bearing sleeve thing you are talking about?

I can't tell from the picture or discription if that is it, but I'm going to go with no, thats just the pilot bearing, because the sleeve cost more than that.

How much (approx) did you pay for the sleeve?

Pretty much every autoparts store I called around here carries the pilot bearing "bushing", just have a to wait a day or 2 for them to order it, it was like $12.

Well that may be true, but nobody at any of the autoparts stores in my area could order it for me because none of them knew what I was talking about... they all gave me a "deer in the headlights" look when I tried to describe it to them. The dealership near me had it for somewhere between $20 and $25 with the pilot bearing already in place... and the guy at the parts counter there knew what I was talking about over the phone by me just saying "pilot bearing bushing," so it may have been a little more money, but at least it avoided the same headache over and over.
