good bore guage?

anyone suggest a good bore guage?

I guess it depends on how much you want to spend. but anything from summitracing.com would be good, and they should carry them.

I have a CEN-TECH 1.4-6'' ELECTRONIC BORE GAUGE
Harbor Freight ITEM 94873-2VGA
it works very well i used it to size the crank and rod bearings on my race bike and my dads(with a couple mics of course). no plastigauge in the stuff i build!

Thanks guys for the info. Im banking on my bore being with in the .005" out of round maxium so a 3.91-3.912" stock bore so im hoping the bores average between 3.915-3.917" that way ill hopefully save on machine work as I think ill be able to save the rods and have the machine shop just do the heads and match the crank journals to the old rods and new speed pro or kb pistons. but if i do this i might as well have the machine shop bore it to 3.93" and get a little bit mor displacement any ideas?

i found a motor at junk yard for cheap and came out of a low mile truck that I plan on buying it and slowly rebuilding it over the course of this spring summer and do the swap in a day or two after the rebuild of the junkyard engine as this is my DD right now
