Yes it was but it was easier for me to add that to that sentence then to write up another sentence with the exact info just one year difference. And most likely he wont get the 5.9. they all ask but never do it.

I hope you blow your engine on the first day. JK! I'm Jealous!

I hope it works great. Post up pics and vidoes and don't forget the burnouts and post up the speeding tickets too!

LOL, I see how it is! :P

Right now, as the project is going, the block is stripped down on an engine stand in my garage. I have ordered the stroker pistons from hughesengines.com and I'm waiting for them. In the next week or two (when I get some more money), I'm going to order the eagle cast stroker crank from summit and then I'll have everything I need to get the block machined. I'm hoping to have the short block assembly done and assembled by the end of summer. Then I can start with the heads/valvetrain in the fall and hopefully have it done and ready to install by xmas break. The numbers I'm really hoping for are 400 hp and 450 ft*lbs of torque. I do plan on giving it 1500 miles to break in (so I won't blow it up on the first day :P )and then I'll find a dyno to put it on and see how close the numbers are to what I want.

Will do! When the pistons get here I'll start the post going, and continue it as I make progress. As for the burnout, I'll have to find a cheap set of used tires (I have a spare set of rims to put them on), cause the ones on my truck are way too expensive for all that! As for speeding tickets... knock on wood I have none, and I hope to keep it that way!

im actually in the middle of finding a 360 for mine. im not gunna turn it into a 408 stroker, but i am putting a 360 in, my buddy has one and i love the power it has. i think i have officially decided not to buy the '03 dak and just completely re-do everything on my '93. once im done with this truck, nothing will be original, it will be all either new or rebuilt (including the body)

Good deal! I'm thinking about getting a new body for my truck. There's a '91 in a junkyard here in town that's got a flawless body on it (except the paint is faded). The body on my truck is only as straight as it is because it has a gallon and a half of body filler in it :/ The owner of the junkyard only wants $600 for the whole truck and it has a good 3.9L in it that I could turn around and sell. It's just a matter of coming up with the money and time to do it.

Thanks for all the info guys!! Looking to get this one back running asap as its my daily driver!!

I found a 318 from a 94 dakota rollover right here in town today... They actually still drive the truck as a farm truck! haha So I know it runs.

Guy says its got 045,XXX on the odometer but is not sure how accurate it is... gussing it quit working like 100,000 miles ago...

Anywho, I though $400 was good enough for me and he said he'd pull the motor and bring it in to town in a day or two.

Any tips on where to grab the old one when I pull it? DOsent have hooks on top like alot of the newer trucks... Guess my neighbor was right... rebuilding is a thing of the past. Sad to say thats where were are, when the expensive labor today is 10 times the cheap parts we use!

Get some high strength chain and bolt it into the heads in each corner.
